01  Overview

Samsung / Jagran engagement context.

Samsung needed popular applications available inside its Tizen OS ecosystem.

The Jagran News App already existed on Android and iOS, but Samsung Tizen users did not have the same access through the Tizen app ecosystem.

Evolve Blue supported the porting effort with Angular, Tizen SDK, RSS feed integration, Web APIs, performance work, and platform compatibility support.

02  The Challenge

Samsung / Jagran constraints to solve.

  • Tizen OS was an emerging platform with limited SDK maturity and limited documentation.
  • There was no strong developer community for Tizen problem-solving at the time.
  • Jagran RSS feeds and APIs needed to work inside Tizen web-based SDK constraints.
  • Key mobile app features had to be adapted for a different platform and device model.
  • Content delivery needed performance tuning for Samsung Tizen devices.
  • Platform limits required custom technical workarounds during development.

03  The Solution

Samsung / Jagran solution architecture.

The team built a Tizen OS version of the Jagran News App using Angular and Tizen SDK.

The app integrated Jagran RSS feeds and Web APIs to support real-time news content delivery inside the Tizen environment.

Custom workarounds helped the project move forward despite limited SDK documentation, limited platform maturity, and a small developer support ecosystem.
